Shooting this post brought back memories of one of my birthdays when I was in Pre-Primary school one of the last birthdays where I was obsessed with Barbie and all things pink and girly (Not that I’m not girly now just back then it was more extreme). I can still see my birthday cake Barbie in a puffy pink icing-sugar dress and all those pink party packets, ahhhh those where the perfect simple days. Fast Forward to today no Barbie cake , but channeling my inner Barbie with my Fashion Doll Crystal.

When it comes to fragrances I’m a bit of a cheat because I don’t have one that I am completely loyal to, and I guess that’s because I dress according to my mood and I’ve always associated different fragrances with different moods as well ( I have a mini collection of fragrances that I match most of my fashion alter egos).
I remember when I got the Thierry Mugler’s Angel Eau Sucrèe it was a summer love affair at first whiff of candy decadence , that took me on whimsical fragrance journey, with top notes of red fruit sorbet, caramel meringue cream notes at the heart and a base of vanilla and patchouli. There was no way this fragrance would not inspire a doll house themed shoot for The Duo Desk.

Going back to my little theory on matching my fragrance with my mood, it was a no brainier which brand would match up with this sweet and playful scent , It had to be Ted Bakers SS15 collection at Stuttafords, with it pretty pastels and delicate detailing, that complimented the emotions evoked by  Thierry Mugler’s Angel Eau Sucrèe. When we walked into Stuttafords Crystal and I both instantly fell in love with this Ted Baker blush pink shift dress with 3D flower detailing, this dress is the perfect blend of cute sophistication.I just love it when fashion and beauty merge so well.
